Owner “Panini” Pete Blohme has been fascinated with the art of cooking since he began working in restaurants at the age of 14. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY in 1986 and now sits on the Alumni Council. He has worked on Cruise ships, large and small restaurants across America and even as Executive Chef of the University of Alabama. Roll Tide!
After over 20 years in the restaurant business Pete’s dream of opening his own restaurant became a reality. Opening Panini Pete’s Cafe & Bakeshoppe in Fairhope, AL in February or 2006, and then another location in Downtown Mobile in 2011. As his success and reputation grew more opportunities were presented. When this spot became available in the Fly Creek Marina, Pete knew he could create a beautiful place with delicious Gulf and Farm-to-table food teamed up with high quality cocktails all served up in a breathtaking waterfront space that was relaxing yet upscale.
